42 :: Hope
04:43
|
|||
Oh my soul is thirsty for you Lord
And my tears have been my only food
I cry out remembering the days
When I’d shout and sing you songs of praise
When my heart is spent
Battered bruised and wrecked
Chorus
I will hope in you
I’m weighed down it’s more than I can bear
Lost and low, alone and insecure
I recall your faithfulness to save
You pour out your steadfast love each day
And I ask you ‘Lord where are you
Are you sleeping or have you forgotten me?’
Those against me mock taunt and mock me
‘Where is your God? Where is your God? He’s not real is he?’
I can’t bear the weight
When they mock and hate
So I will meditate
On every word you say
In my doubting in my questions
In my guilt and my shame and confessions
in the chaos, in oppression
in my sorrow and in my depression
in my anger in confusion
and when I can’t seem to find the solution
when those against me taunt and mock me
where is your God where is your God

73 :: Want
04:24
|
|||
Why do the wicked prosper?
Why do the crooked boast?
Why do the ones who wound the world
Seem to live and laugh the most?
Will they ever know life’s worries?
Will they always have life’s best?
I confess, Lord, my heart wants it
Help me want your heart instead
What does a pure heart get me?
What are my efforts worth?
Why does it seem when I keep my heart clean
I am met with depression and hurt?
I wish this walk were different
Though it's better left unsaid
I confess, Lord, my heart wants it
Help me want your heart instead
Father give me wisdom
Help me understand
Show me in your presence
How the wicked way will end
Success is a delusion
And riches ruin mans
Praise the Lord is way is perfect
And his kingdom knows no end
Chorus
Lord you are my wisdom
Lord I choose your way
Though my heart and flesh fail
You will be my strength
Take me into glory
Till then I will say
Lord I love you, Lord I want you
Help me want you more each day

90 :: Establish
06:05
|
|||
Oh Lord, you’ve been our refuge, our strength
In every season and generation you are God
Oh Lord, before the mountains were made and the earth was formed
With no beginning and no end you are God
Chorus
Teach us to number our days
Teach us your wisdom and grace
Lord we are waiting, how long?
Till you will right all that is wrong
Oh Lord, our days fade and wither and pass away
But you’re forever, you stay the same, you are God
Oh Lord, we’re in a world of trouble, the wounds of sin
We are crying, will we laugh again? Help us God
Return oh Lord Return oh Lord
How long must we endure this world
Satisfy, Lord, all of us
Each morning with your steadfast love
Make us glad as many days
As we have lived with evil ways
Bless the labor of our hands
To work within your perfect plan

77 :: Remember
06:15
|
|||
I cry out
And the Lord will hear me
In my pain
And my trouble I am reaching
Oh my soul faints
Oh my mind aches
Oh my heart hurts
Oh my words fail
I remember times when all the church was laughing
I remember days when all the pews were full
And I felt the freeing feeling of belonging
But it doesn’t feel that way anymore
I’m undone
I’m so troubled I cannot speak
Where’s your love?
Where’s your promise? Where’s your peace?
Have I sinned?
Have I angered you oh Father?
Where’s the joy?
Where’re the streams of living water?
Are you gracious?
Are you judging?
Are you faithful?
Are you loving?
Then I think about the stories of your people
Testimonies of your pow’r put on display
And your way oh God is great and it is holy
You’re unchanging love is still the same today
I believe that you’re the God who’s working wonders
You redeemed us and you saved us all from death
I believe that all our best days aren’t behind us
I believe your Spirit’s leading us ahead
And I know that there were people in the desert
They didn’t understand what you were leading to
And they called and cried ‘let’s go back where we once were’
But your Spirit, God was leading somewhere new
I believe that you’re the God who’s working wonders
You redeemed us and you saved us all from death
I believe that all our best days aren’t behind us
I believe your Spirit’s leading us ahead

54 :: Uphold
05:53
|
|||
It was cold in there
In that dark hard heart
I’d been hiding there
Didn’t know if I’d make it out
I’d been running scared
That I’d be found out
Nowhere left to hide
Yet saved right from the start
Chorus
All my days were trouble
Sin surrounded me
I called out to my Savior
And my Savior said ‘you’re free’
Still he will defend me
From the enemy
I hold onto my defender
He’s upholding me
He heard my cry
He heard my plea
He makes no mistakes
And he planned to rescue me
Now I’m pressing on
So the world will see
I could never save myself
But the King himself saved me

23 :: Lead
05:31
|
|||
I come to this place far less than I ought
Where I feel at peace without want
You cause me to rest you restore my soul
I trust you I abide in you I am learning to better follow you
Chorus
In the past you led me through
Still this day you lead me too
Lead me on to dwell with you forever
I walked with you in to peace
I won’t fear now you’re with me
You pre pare a place for me forever
You are good and just you uphold all things
You’re defending me I won’t fear
You prepare a feast you fulfill my need
I trust you I abide in you I am learning to better follow you

84 :: Abide
05:46
|
|||
Verse 1
Oh how my soul longs for the Lord
Long to be whole longs to be home
Blessed are those running the race
Lord lead me on
Lord give me strength
Chorus
Abide in you abide in you
I find my rest abide in you
Oh Lord of hosts hear as we pray
Lead those who lead to follow your way
No one I’d rather know no place I’d rather go
Nothing I’d rather do then simply abide in you
Nothing is better than resting in sovereign hands
Lead me I’m longing to simply abide in you
